About Me

My creative journey began when I was very young. Every summer, and especially toward the end of each school year, I would reuse my old notebooks and fill them with sketches. I loved sitting in front of the TV watching cartoons and drawing my favorite characters, page after page. Drawing was my happy place long before I knew it could become something more.

At just 14 years old, I designed my very first custom t-shirt. In 1995, I sold a few shirts for $15 each, and I remember how excited and proud I felt making my first sales. That moment planted the seed. This was where everything truly began.

I graduated in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, with big dreams. For a long time, I wanted to become a veterinarian because of my deep love for animals. However, life had other plans, and the path became more complicated than I had the resources for at the time. Still wanting to stay close to creativity, I chose a career that blended art and technical skill. I studied Drafting and CAD, graduated with a 3.69 GPA, and discovered a new way to bring ideas to life.

In 2010, I moved to New York, where I incorporated my first business. Everything was going well, but my true creative breakthrough came in 2013, when I invested in my first 3D printer (MakerBot). That moment changed everything. It marked the beginning of my career in 3D design, modeling, and creative product development turning imagination into tangible creations.

My life is deeply inspired by the animals I love. In 2014, the love of my life arrived Princess Peach, my adorable Yorkie, who has been with me since before she was born and is now 11 years old. I also share my life with Shelly, my turtle, who is 15 years old and full of personality. In 2025, my family grew again when Ruby Marie came into my life a German Shorthair Pointer mix with Dalmatian spots, currently a playful 5-month-old bundle of joy.

My pets, my art, and the cozy space of my home studio are my greatest inspirations. This is where I create, design, and dream turning sketches into characters, and characters into products you can wear, gift, and enjoy every day.

Zaphire Treasures is more than a shop. It’s a reflection of my journey art, creativity, pets, technology, and heart brought together into original designs made with passion and purpose.
